I have been lurking over at alt.internet.search-engines where the participants raised these interesting questions:
Perhaps the Wired's "Are You Too Stupid to Surf? does seem apt afterall; I initially thought the ideas raised in the article were foolish but now, I am not so sure.
Over at grc.privacy hosted on news.grc.com, there was a reaction to Mr Blunkett's decision to introduce ID cards into the UK because he couldn't tell "how many illegal immigrants are currently in the UK."
A quote from Bruce Schnieir Author of "Beyond Fear: Thinking Sensibly About Security in an Uncertain World" seems apt here: "National ID cards will significantly weaken national and personal security, and most ID checks are virtually worthless."
I've already ordered my copy!
