Windows Script Host and Security

The FBI and the SANS Institute recently got together to develop a list of the 10 most exploited Windows threats.

One of these threats is the Windows Script Host which apparently is on by default on most Windows installations and is a future avenue of attack by hackers who can use it to run most of their VBS Files on the Host Machine.

In this article, Dana Epps explains why the Windows Script Host made it on to the list of the FBI's 10 most exploited Windows threats despite not being riddled with vulnerabilities and how you can stop unsigned scripts from running on your PC.
